We begin in sunny Sevilla, Spain, a vibrant city with a distinctive Arabian flavour left by the Moors during their 800-year Spanish rule. You'll ride on serpentine roads through the incredible Sierra de Cadiz Mountain to Algeciras, a maritime town with breathtaking views of Gibraltar. Here, the Mediterranean joins with the Atlantic, known thousands of years ago by the Phoenecians as the 'Columns of Hercules''. Now prepare yourself as you ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar to the alluring continent of Africa. Northern Morocco's lush rolling green hills and Alpine villages dot the Rif Mountains en route to the charming village of Chefchaouen. Time for you to whet your appetite with the first taste of delicious Moroccan cuisine as you dine on couscous in a quaint 15th century restaurant nestled in the heart of the medina.

Now ride southward past the Roman ruins of Volubilis to Fez and spend two nights in the oldest Imperial City. Fez is incredible! Filled with history and magnificent monuments, it boasts one of the most fascinating medinas in the Arab World. This labyrinth will bedazzle you with thousand-year-old charm as you meander this historical treasure in search of rugs, leather goods, and just about anything you can imagine.

As you head south, time to cross the Atlas Mountains filled with forests of cedar, wild monkeys. Ready for the desert? As you descend, the road will lead you along the Ziz River, which will deliver you spectacularly at the beginning of the Sahara desert. The scenery changes dramatically! Brilliant green date palms sprout up along the magnificent Tafilalet Oasis. This once vast ocean many millenniums ago now boasts fossilized remnants of the myriad sea creatures that existed in ages past and is now one of the famous checkpoints for the Paris-Dakar Rally. Erfoud is the capital of this region and will be your home for the next two nights.

Our luxury hotel will serve as your base as you explore the secrets of the Sahara, her red sand dunes and the numerous Berber towns that gather around natural water springs. Have you ever seen the sunrise sitting atop a talc-like sand dune? Has anybody ever tried to explain to you what the night sky looks like blanketed with so many stars it appears almost completely white? It cannot be explained in words! You have to experience it for yourself!

Time to cross the desert on the "Route of the Casbahs," a road that will fill you with an incomparable sensation of freedom. Only small herds of wild camels and the occasional desert town remind you that you are not on another planet. As you reach the Great Draa Oasis the colors suddenly change to green as you ride to the town of Zagora and our 16th century adobe castle hotel. Here, you will spend the night embraced by the legends of the Toareg.

You'll marvel at the bustling activity in the famous Djemaa el-Fna Square, complete with snake charmers, musicians, boxers and even dentists!
