India
India is a vast and fascinating country. You ride the bike and enjoy the scenery, we take care of the rest. This is a 15 day trip, that includes 14 days riding. The roads can vary from perfectly smooth tarmac to rubble, dust and sand. Nobody follows any recognizable form of Highway Code. Motorbikes and scooters weave in and out at speed, making wild changes of direction to avoid huge potholes or speedbumps, while pedestrians tend to favour the middle of the road where often there is the least traffic.

We run tours to Goa, Kerala and the Himalayas. In Goa and Kerala we use the Royal Enfield 350cc, kick-start, brake on the left, gears on the right, one up, three down. In the Himalayas we use the 500cc version Kerala tours are run between October and April, while the Himalayas is run between June and September. In all the tours, an experienced leader is always with you, as is a mechanical and medical support vehicle.
In the Goa tourthe majority of your tour will be in Karnataka. People are very friendly, everyone feels compelled to wave and the kids rush to the roadside when they hear the roar of the bikes. We also pass through some big towns, such as Mysore - famous for sandalwood and silk. The weather is generally very hot.
Kerala is a
beautiful state, it is known as the Spice State, and you can find cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, cloves and many other spices. There is a great deal of hill riding on this tour, so we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t like cornering.
In the Himalayas tour
the roads are not maintained in the same way as our own and are notorious for being closed through landslides. If our planned route is blocked, we just have to detour round.
Rajasthan, where, for the majority of the time, we will be staying in one of the many old forts palaces and havelis along the route. We will continue to use the expert knowledge of experienced local tour leaders and, of course, our support vehicle will provide full medical and mechanical backup, thus ensuring that our riders enjoy an adventure of a lifetime safe in the knowledge that help and advice is always close at hand
